Well, he might just come back, not to play though; its to be hoped that he doesn't spoil his image by acting like a jerk in the commentary box or getting paid for acting like a jerk in a commercial.
I'm sure he's smart enough.
commercials...understandable.
but commentary ? after reading what u have written , i feel u r of the opinion that all ex cricketer commentators are bad 'jerks'in the commentary box. or perhaps all the good commentators are guys who havent played much cricket.
agreed gavaskar and akram & co. are pretty bad but certainly none of the commentators who have played little or no int'l cricket like harsha bhogle, robin jackman, tony cozier, mark nicholas etc, match up to the legends like benaud, bill lawry, holding, tony grieg, ian chappel, shastri et al.
so, really i dont see eye to eye with ur observation at all. unless we actually hear kumble out, we cant say he is going to be a 'jerk' in the commentary box.
I think what he meant is that he doesn't spoil his image doing commentary like Sidhu or Amarnath.
